Scotland Yard Reports

We have received our first report from our inquiries by Scotland Yard.

(Our own personal Scotland Yard detective, carrying the dossier and possibly some Jammie Dodgers?)

The event taking place at Buckingham Palace today was a Royal Garden Party, hosted by Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh (a/k/a Prince Philip).

More information about what this is is available here.

Still no information as to why we were not invited. Perhaps our invites are waiting for us at home?

This is a Job for Scotland Yard!

Driving past Buckingham Palace on our way home for the evening--scads of well dressed ladies and gents coming and going through the gates. Lots of lovely floral dresses, funny hats and impractical shoes on women, men in actual morning coats. It's been raining so some look more sodden than others, and the adorable couple in their 50s or so headed toward the main gate wearing Union Jack rain ponchos get the prize for the best solution to the weather.

Sadly no snaps, as we were inside a raindrop speckled cab that was steaming up on the windows, and couldn't get any.

But--what was going on?

And why weren't we invited?

Investigations are proceeding.
